You know that feeling when you have to write a fic and the deadline is approaching, and you have muse and want to write something... just not what you're meant to? Yeah, well, I'm just going to stick my hand up here and say 'Guilty as charged'. It's really a very interesting feeling of conflicting creativity, in that I've got that 'itch' to write (as in, I can't stop gravitating to the keyboard even though I have plenty of other things I should be doing) but everything that I come up with isn't what I should currently be writing. Really, I just have to stop ignoring my fest-fics in favour of rampant spur-of-the-moment Malfoycest.

Dammit, that just sounds needlessly cruel. Maybe I should alternate? Spend an hour on each one? Or... finish one fest-fic and then give myself free reign for a while, before moving on to the next?

(One moment it's no inspiration, and the next it's too much - damn Draco for wanting to be conflicted and seduced when Lucius is supposed to be off doing badass mindtricks on unsuspecting people. Bloody Malfoys...)
