Reading immigration stories of people who moved to NZ, because I stumbled across some article that totally ripped us out and now I am royally offended on behalf of my country. Hmph. Anyway, found this:

"The Kiwi mentality is if you are cold put on another jumper. Still cold? Do some star jumps."

Fire is ...nice, I agree. I had a tendency to set things on fire when I was slightly younger (and it is still there somewhat. Oh, and two of my friends were once accused of attempted arson of a pavement. Goddammit. Pavements. Do. Not. Burn. (Okay, they do if someone uses napalm but normal fire...)

(Sheesh, rambling mode turned on again, I suppose.)

*Nods* I'm a bit of a pyromaniac myself. Leave a box of matches anywhere near me and you're just asking for trouble. And I'm quite intrigued now... how does one burn pavement? I mean, you could burn stuff on it, but the pavement itself is pretty, ah, solid. And non-flammable.

I dunno. Watching fire helps calm me down. I used to go to my friends and ask for a lighter before/after doing something stressful (like speeches) and they'd be all 'you don't smoke, dude' and I'd just go 'I know, I just want to watch the pretty flame and burn things'. Lol.
